- Editting the page through the OneNote application works fine. Nothing is read-only, changes are applied without any fuss. When I initially started this, the OpenHierarchy call would hang if OneNote was open, so my first step every time is to check for the ONENOTE process and close it if it is running.
- In Word, you'll need to follow these steps: Click on "Insert" in the toolbar at the top of the screen, so that the Insert ribbon appears. Click on "Symbol" all the way to the right. Select "More Symbols." Select the "Special Characters" tab. Select the "Section" symbol by clicking on it. Click on the "Insert" button.
- Right-click the section tab and click Delete. If you delete a section and immediately change your mind, press Ctrl+Z on your keyboard. This handy shortcut will undo the last thing you did—including deletions. If you've mistakenly deleted a section, and are using OneNote 2010 or later, go to History > Notebook Recycle Bin to recover the section.
- When OneNote has created the new notebook, an untitled section and page will have been created. Right-click on the section to rename it. Sections contain the pages in your notebook on which you take notes. Add more pages For more room in any section of your notebook, you can add as many pages as you need.
